Cookies

I have had a lot of fun things happening in my life in the past month, and I just haven't blogged about them.  One of those things is starting my own little hobby business with my cookies.  I have always enjoyed making things, whether it be my sewing or my monogramming and now my cookies, and usually that extends into making things for other people and having people ask me to do things for them.  I don't really ever say I have a business because these are just my hobbies, and if I make a little money here and there, then that is great.  Well, after posting pictures of some of my cookies on Facebook, I had an overwhelming response from people asking me to make them some cookies.  I went ahead and made a Facebook page, and I have been getting orders fairly often to make some of my cookies!  It has been really fun to be able to practice and improve my skills while making the cookies for friends who will enjoy them!  I have also gotten involved with Flickr (many bakers are on there) and the Cookiers R Us forum hosted by Karens Cookies!  I have enjoyed getting to know fellow decorators, seeing their work, and being inspired by it.  I guess that is one reason this little blog has been neglected...I have just fallen head over heels with cookie decorating and have completely immursed myself in anything I can read and join in.  Here are some of the pictures of cookies I made in March.
