Wedding Wednesday

I haven't had much to report in general as of late.  Mostly my mind is just scattered with all the tons of things I need to get done in preparation of the wedding.  I feel like I left all the little things to do at the last minute.  I guess that's normal, but now I feel like I have a hundred things that are tiny, but are time consuming and make me second guess my decisions.  Have any of you ever felt that way when you were planning your wedding?  What color favor boxes do I get?  Should I get beaded or smooth chargers?  Am I forgetting something that I will be upset I didn't do/get later?  I know this is really silly to be worrying over, but I feel like the little details are what are going to make my wedding look beautiful and stand out.  I recognize that it is ridiculous, and I sound like I should be on one of those wedding shows (not Bridezillas please!) and that these are the things I should just let go, but they are important to me.  I want everything to look just so, but I also realize not everything is going to be perfect on the wedding day.  All I can do is my best, and on the day of, I won't be worrying about if the fact that my bridesmaids are wearing taffeta and the table runners and chair sashes are satin (which I had to settle for because I couldn't find taffeta chair sashes, table runners, etc that weren't crinkled).  I am just going to be happy that I'm married to the love of my life.  Have any of y'all been there?  That's honestly all that's been going on with me for like a week!  I have ordered chargers, chair sashes, linens, and I'm looking at the favor boxes, and out of town guest bags.  It's just time consuming little stuff!

This is the look I am going for tablescape wise...

We are not doing any feathers (although I think they are gorgeous!), but we are using lace as our overall theme.  We are not going overboard with it, but we are going to have touches of it around the room.  It's going to be very romantic.  Here are some more of my inspiration pictures...

It's getting so real!  I can't wait!!!

Valentines Day!

I personally love Valentines Day!  Many people I know say that is because I have a special someone during this time of year, but I tend to disagree.  I love Valentines Day because it is the time of year to tell everyone...family, friends, and yes, the one you love...that you care about them!  Plus the decorations are just so cute!!!!  This year Thomas and I kept Valentines Day very low key.  I was out of town until Friday, and we really didn't have a certain day we celebrated...since we missed each other a lot we pretty much spent the whole weekend together! We went out to eat Mexican Saturday, Olive Garden Sunday, and Mexican for lunch again on Monday.  We have had healthy appetites this year!  ha!  Thomas also surprised me with some beautiful flowers that he had sent to my office.  That was a wonderful surprise and made my day!
We have just been enjoying spending time together and discussing how close our wedding is getting!  We are both so ready to be married!

What's Goin' On...

Well, I wanted to do a bunch of posts that told you what all I have been up to...but I just can't get excited about stretching all of that into a week's worth of posts.  I want to get everyone caught up, and then start fresh.  So get ready for another brain dump type of posts...
  • Thomas and I booked our honeymoon!  We did a lot of researching online and talking to people and number crunching and we finally made the decision.  We are going on a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise!  If you have been reading for a long time, you will know we are big fans of cruises!  We have been on two together...one to the Caribbean, and one of the Bahamas (post here, which is also were we got engaged).  We thought it was only fitting to go on another, and frankly and practically, they are the easiest vacations ever!  You just pay your money months in advance, and you don't have to pay for a thing on your vacation.  The trip, the gratuity, the excursions, everything...all paid for in advance!  You just get on the boat, buy yourself one of those coke cards, and that's basically it.  We of course have to pay for our alcohol consumption onboard, but you don't really even pay for that until the end...it doesn't feel the same as running around giving cash to everyone and their brother like I have on other types of trips.  I love all-inclusive! :)  We are getting so excited about this trip!
  • My brother Jeremy, who lives in California and I rarely get to see, is coming to visit me!  He works on film/tv and had a break between jobs, so he is coming to see all of his family!  I am so excited!  He will be here for my birthday, which he hasn't been around for in a long time!  We are very close, and I am so looking forward to seeing him!
  • Wedding stuff: I have been doing so much!  I picked out invitation designs, have been working on my wedding website, booked hotel blocks, have a meeting with a videographer, booked a DJ, working on getting an organist, working on flower girl basket, unity candle, ring bearer pillow, and garter set, created my guest book, and so much more in the past couple weeks!  I feel like the wedding is getting so close!!!  It's basically 4 months away!
  • I had my conference this past week!  It went really well.  I had a great time, and it was a great experience.
  • Be sure to see my last post about my new venture...being an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay!
Have a happy Monday!  Happy Valentines Day!

Where Have I Been???

Well, last week sure was a doozie!  If you follow me on twitter, you will already know that I was sick as a dog!  Saturday, I went to Statesboro with Ashton to order her bridesmaid dress, and afterwards we went out to eat at a local restaurant.  The food wasn't really all that good, but it wasn't really awful either.  Well, I started getting so sick about 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant...which makes me wonder if I got food poisoning.  We had to ride home for an hour with me sick and Ashton having to stop the car on the side of the road.  It was awful!  I continued to get sicker throughout the day and ended up being sick for 4 days and then still not feeling 100% until about the 7th day, which makes me wonder if it was a virus!  It was just terrible!  I was stuck in the bed, unable to do anything!

Between the illness and afterwards, a lot of different things have been going on with me.  However, I don't want to thrown them all out there and then have nothing to blog about this week!  So, I will fill y'all in a little at a time!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and is ready for the week ahead!  I am getting so excited for Glee coming back tonight!!!!
