About Me

I am a 20-something newlywed living and loving life in the deep south.  The name of my blog was inspired by my grandma, Nanny, who has always been the epitome of a Southern Belle.  She is kind, gracious, and well-mannered with a little spunk mixed in.  She has enstilled a love of the South in me and has made me proud that this is where our family has always been from.  Although the South has parts of it's history that we are not proud of today, the slow-paced and friendly atmosphere in a part of the country that is so beautiful and rich with history is one of the reasons that I love it so much.  True Southern Belles like my Nanny know the importance of writing a Thank You card and still enjoy a proper Sunday brunch.  Although many of the aspects of the South are old-fashioned, I love that many traditional values have been passed down to me by Nanny and my Mama.  Of course, it's great to live in a time where I have the option to mix traditional Southern values with modern ways of life!  This is my little place on the internet where I document my life and explore my thoughts and interests.  I hope you enjoy following along with me!
